Due to the angled stem design and the direct mounting to the vessel bottom flange, the ball is flush with the vessel inner wall. For a seamless, flush connection, the contour of the ball valve insert can be adapted to the radius of the vessel bottom to reduce so-called dirty corners. The usual dead spaces between ball and housing are filled by sealing half shells and prevent the product residues in the dead spaces from crystallizing, caking together and thus impairing the function. For a clean and easy removal of solid products, a screw conveyor is mounted on the ball valve by means of a quick-action connection.
